Major Brand Quality on a Tight Budget
I bought this set of pickups to replace the cheap and noisy stock ones on my Ibanez mikro bass. The screw pegs ended up being about 1/8th inch too wide on either side, so I used a Dremel to open up the cavity on my bass. The P pickups are loud and have a slight "bite" in the tone when you pluck a note. The J pickups sounded similar, but less pronounced. Not quite the tone I was looking for, but I still like the sound. I like how they have some weight to them are clearly made of high quality materials, and they only have a little hum compared to what I had before. Overall, I think these are worth every penny, and I'm gonna bring this sound along with me on my beginner's journey.
