Light weight carbon fiber rod. Much stronger than steel for the same size and weight. Use in combination with a metal adjustable truss rod to increase strength and to help prevent neck twist.
8 1/32" (204mm approximately 8.03") Long, 1/8" wide (3mm .118"), x 1/4" high (6mm 15/64")
Designed for use as a single or double rod in a mandolin neck,. Use with or without truss rod. (see drawings)
Glue or secure in a slotted wooden neck blank with epoxy or super glue. (Epoxy is recommended for best hold)

Carbon fiber is extremely rigid and hard, but it is also very brittle. Cutting and handling this product should always be done with gloves, and caution. You should never cut this product with power tools, the product will splinter with extremely fine glass fragments and can cause personal injury. You should always wear dust protection equipment if cutting to prevent damage or harm from inhalation of dust or debris.
NOTE: WE DO NOT RECOMMEND cutting this product. If you do decide to cut this, a hack saw is a much safer way to cut this, do not use power tools. This should only be cut by someone with knowledge of this type of product and experience working with it. USE Dust and hand protection when working with this product.
NOTE: Dust produced from cutting this product is dangerous and can cause physical harm.. Always use protective safety equipment to protect your health, use the correct products (dust masks, clothing and gloves) for this type of materials.
GLUING: You can use various glues with this, including epoxies, superglues and wood glues. Epoxies work the best for long term holding power.
This package contains one single rod, multiple rods may be needed for various setups shown.
